The Maine coast is a sea kayaker’s paradise, with hundreds of tiered islands and nearly 3,500 miles of shoreline to explore. Our islands are clustered in unique archipelagos with three distinct ecosystems, protected from the full tempest of the sea. Tides range from 10’-25’, summer air temps are 50’s-70’s F, water temps are brisk in the 50’s F, winds generally moderate Westerlies. Explore dramatic cliffs; picnic on white shell beaches with crystal blue water; paddle along giant granite erratic’s while probing manageable rock gardens; visit traditional fishing villages - all within an intact marine wilderness.
