About Celtic Paddles

Celtic Paddles are a subsidiary of Sea Kayaking UK. Originally Lendal, the company was set up in Scotland by Alistair Wilson and quickly gained an international following due to the great designs and quality.

Lendal was purchased by the Johnson Group in the USA in the early 2000's and later offered to Nigel at Sea Kayaking UK. Nigel Dennis, owner, and director of Sea Kayaking UK has always been a proponent of Lendal paddles which had served him well during many expeditions and trips, many times he had been a test pilot for new Lendal products and designs giving him unique insight.

Nigel bought the company in 2010 and with the application of years of paddling and manufacturing experience he set about rebuilding Lendal as a UK based company. In 2012 Lendal was rebranded as Celtic Paddles in recognition of its Scottish roots and its future in North Wales. All the paddles are manufactured in our Sea Kayaking UK factory on the Isle of Anglesey, North Wales, UK.

Sea Kayaking UK is the UK’s largest manufacturer of composite kayaks and exports to over 35 countries. We have a strong reputation for producing well-designed, quality products and we work hard to maintain this reputation. We always work closely with our dealers and customers to drive product development and quality improvement.
