Joint systems

We have 3 main paddle joints that can be used alone or in combination to achieve desired outcomes.

Leverlok

(our standard centre joint on straight shaft paddles)

The Leverlok gives you 10cm of adjustment. This is our standard centre joint. It allows you to adjust the length and feather of the paddle and make a 4-piece left or right-handed. This joint is 13g (1/2 ounce) heavier than the Vari Paddlok.

Paddlok

The Paddlok system uses the Paddlok button which works like a miniature jack, when the key is tightened the joint expands forming a rock-solid connection. Only gentle pressure is required to lock your paddle blades to the shaft. If used as a centre joint feather and length are non- adjustable.

Vari Paddlok

The Vari Paddlok joint offers 6cm of length adjustment and variable feather using two Paddlok buttons. It can be set for left or right-handed paddlers.

Paddlok Button on Blades

The Paddlok system allows you to mix and match blades to your shaft making it possible to change your blade size or replace just one blade. The Paddlok system uses the Paddlok button which works like a miniature jack, when the key is tightened the joint expands forming a rock-solid connection. Only gentle pressure is required to lock your paddle blades to the shaft. The Celtic Paddlok system creates a solid join and allows the paddle to be easily taken apart for transport.

All paddles with Paddlok buttons are provided with a paddle key.
