Shaft Lengths (Sea Touring)

As standard our paddles have the Nylon Leverlok joint offering 10cm of length adjustment on a straight shaft and 6cm on a modified crank.

We can customize paddles and make shafts of any length however we recommend a standard range of overall paddle length as follows:

Standard diameter

• 200-210cm
• 205-215cm
• 208-218cm
• 210-220cm

Narrow diameter

• 200-210cm

Custom sizes are of course available.

The following table is a guide only for sea touring in boats with a beam width of 52-57cm (20.5-22.5 inches). For best results, paddle sizing should be conducted on the water as paddling style can dictate the paddle you need. A long paddle will mean a lower angle paddle stroke. A short paddle may mean more control and power but will add more stress to the shoulders.
