Shafts

We have the options of straight and modified cranked shafts. The straight shafts are offered in fiberglass or carbon. The fiberglass shafts are heavier but cheaper. The carbon shafts are lighter and stronger but slightly more expensive. We recommend the carbon shafts for intermediate to advanced paddlers on the sea  and for all surf and white-water paddles.

Modified cranked shafts are all carbon. 

Our shafts come in two diameters.

Narrow

The narrow diameter shaft is specifically for the smaller paddler with smaller hands.

The narrow shaft has a 27mm (1.06") OD (outer diameter). It has the same performance and features as the standard shaft but is designed for paddlers with a smaller hand size.  As a guide, a narrow shaft may suit someone with a hand length of up to 17cm, however we would advise trying it first.

Standard

The standard diameter shaft has an OD of 29.3mm (1.15").
