Jack Hampton

Jack is a Sea Kayaker and filmmaker who splits his time between North Devon where he grew up and London.  In his film projects Jack uses his skills as a kayaker as a vehicle for exploring important social issues such as climate change and economic marginalisation. Sea Kayaking UK is supporting Jack with a new project investigating coastal town regeneration in the South West of England.

In the Summer of 2022 Jack completed his first film making project ‘Paddling the Margins’ in which he and a team of five friends paddled two skin-on-frame folding kayaks 2200km from Ketchikan, Alaska to Seattle, Washington State. The film is now available for free on youtube. You can also listen to more about Jack and the project from when he was featured on the Paddling the Blue podcast link here

We will be posting updates on Jacks projects throughout 2025 and you can follow him directly on Instagram @paddlingthemargin. He can be contacted at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
